It's very nice to see article on Indonesian art, and on ornament in general. The lead doesn't explain what a gorga is very well - from lower down it seems to be a general term like
motif, with various more precise terms for different types. You might add some of that to the lead. Cheers,

Johnbod:Thanks for mentioning. I added a little to the lead. You are welcome to edit the wording if it's confusing, but I add another interesting fact about the spirits whose the Gorga protected the house from. Check out the link on the lead, and find out the interesting culture of Batak Toba.--
