Soda
In Canada, a soda is an ice cream soda. Is that the intended meaning? Some Americans use the word soda to mean what Canadians call pop.

The music video for the song shows the performers turning into cans of soda/pop, so at the least they were aware of that meaning.

Also, the article from
The Peterborough Examiner which I just added to this article says that the song's lyrics "[seemed] to imply people should choose pop over booze." So apparently Canadians in general understand soda to mean pop in this context.--
