Reason: This article is mainly about girls as victims, not as "normal" humans. This should be reflected in the article name. Here I propose "Girl (victim)", but I am open to other solutions, such as "Girl (survivor)".

It is also used in the context of a group of women relaxing, for example "going out with the girls," "girls night out," "chilling with my girls." I suspect a little more analysis would reveal its used in many more ways, some identically to the way "boy" is used, some different. I'm sure this must be documented. It's already in the article, quite prominently in the second sentence at the very top of the article:
While the term girl has other meanings, including young woman,[1] daughter[2] or girlfriend[1] regardless of age, the first meaning is the most common one.
