What is the possible reason why this particular giant foods warrants a Wikipedia article? Frithjh 07:30, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
I think that Giant Food LLC still uses the name Super G: http://www.hoovers.com/giant-food/--ID__11979--/free-co-factsheet.xhtml. Anacreon 21 February 2007
The article states that the chain is "often referred to as Giant Food of Landover." which does not appear to be true. The parent company, Ahold refers to them as "Giant-Landover" to distinguish them from "Giant-Carlisle". If you google "Giant Food of Landover" you will find articles referring to "Giant Food" of Landover, Maryland rather than "Giant Food of Landover" Giant-Landover would be a better choice for the article name. While I still disagree with the inclusion of Starbucks in the header as being not common enough at Giant, I did appreciate the cited source. As a result, I did work it into the article in the "History" section. SchuminWeb ( Talk) 00:20, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Image:Giant logo top.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The large "History" section has been fully removed with the exception of two cited passages (which were placed in the lead for now), and the removed text is now located at Talk:Giant-Landover/History. Basically, this was all unsourced, and potentially original research. Once we get good, strong citations for this information, we can restore it, but for now, it's got to go. This page on their website should be useful in creating a history section. Giant Food of Landover About Us Page crazzycorbe ( talk) 14:37, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
