Moved from article: This will be the main page on German wine, just starting by collecting the existing links, many of them bits of articles I have added to, and other related stuff. Will also link everything from the German pages, which I assume are more comprehensive (help would be useful as my German is a bit flaky). Oddly the German pages do not have a German wine entry, although there is better coverage of some of the terms. Maybe list these in region sections or seperate page for German wine makers.

I've proposed to merge in Süssreserve, although there's an argument for merging it with must FlagSteward 01:58, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm sure this is not correct. I believe it refers to wine that is made on the same land where the grapes were grown. Seems like vandalism. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billz123 ( talk • contribs) 06:09, 11 April 2007 (UTC).
I've added the word "wine" to the sentence "Warmer than all other German regions", because most German pages state the Kaiserstuhl in Baden as the warmest German region. The average temp. in the Baden wine region is lower because the wine region of Baden also contains some mountains of the Black Forest, whlie Palatinate is situated in the Rhine Valley. I am more incline to agree with this being a B article. It is certainly leaps and bounds better than it was in October when it was reassess as start. Above all, it doesn't appear to be missing any important sections which tilts it firmly to the B side. The only areas of glaring concern would be the lack of referencing in major sections and the tiny winemaking section. There probably could be a section on German wine labels and German wine auctions (or German wine culture) with a summary paragraph and links to the main article. The first sentence needs to be rephrased. Though, I'm not sure what to. —Preceding unsigned comment added by THobern ( talk • contribs) 10:15, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

This section claims there are 13 regions, then gives a list of 14 regions. The error seems to be the inclusion of the Kaiserstuhl as an independent region. Compare it with the German page, which includes Kaiserstuhl as part of the Baden region. Dansator ( talk) 00:17, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
