Organisation Name
It seems unclear to me what GALA's full official name is. The
history page of the website uses "GALA – Queer Archive", as does the organisation's newsletter The GALA Times. I can't find any recent use of the name "Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action", and the organisation's official Facebook page changed its name in December 2018. However, I also couldn't find any official announcement that GALA had changed its name or exclusively adopted the name "GALA – Queer Archive".
If anyone has a definitive answer then it may be worth changing the name of this page, as it doesn't currently appear as a top search result for "GALA – Queer Archive". For now, I've included this more common name in the introductory paragraph of the article, which may help.
