Garrison was the home for the Old Creamery Theater for many years (25+?), where it converted an old creamery building into a theater. This small town in Benton County became quite the attraction during the summer month. The acting company toured Iowa and the Midwest during the school year and developed a strong reputation for original children's theater. At one point, OCTC out-grossed the local elevator making it the biggest industry in town. Not sure of the year, but the Old Creamery moved operations to The Amanas. Thomas Johnson was the founding artistic director.-— Preceding unsigned comment added by BatteryIncluded ( talk • contribs) 18:24, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
