Fair use rationale for Image:How I Met Your Mother s01e15.png

Image:How I Met Your Mother s01e15.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

TV Squad episode review of Game Night makes a reference to Barney's journey being like Star Wars but doesn't make a direct enough comparison of his rising barber chair to the emergence of Darth Vader so I'll have to look for another citation but the review might be useful for the Critical response/Reception section. -- Horkana ( talk) 02:25, 16 November 2009 (UTC) reply

Barney

The following points were removed as speculation and although the phrasing is weak I think the substantive point that is that Barney went on to become more like Greg and he was very probably the source of those phrases so the points really just need to be rephrased to avoid sounding like less speculation and more just observations of what happened in the episodes.

  • Barney's use of catchphrases "legendary" and "peace out, hombre!" come from Shannon and Greg respectively.
  • Barney also begins the use of "high-fives" after Greg tries to give him one at the Coffee Shop in reference to Shannon being his "G-Friend".

Something more like

  • Greg says "peace out, hombre!" and Shannon says "legendary" which are both catchphrases of Barney.

The earlier episode articles included sections "recurring elements introduced in this episode" so my point is that this information could be included if it was just better phrased. -- Horkana ( talk) 16:34, 22 March 2010 (UTC) reply
