I propose to merge Gabbang into Gambang, as they are clearly the same instrument. -- P 1 9 9 ✉ 15:54, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose: similar, but not the same. Both are also xylophones, but given the differences in construction (baboo v. hardwood; wood versus horn hammer) and local practice, it seems reasonable to keep them separate. Klbrain ( talk) 22:38, 17 November 2016 (UTC)

- Oppose There are at least 2 types of Gambang, which are Gambang Kayu and Gambang Gangsa. And both are mentioned in the article. Ckfasdf ( talk) 04:50, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
