I remember seeing Freddy on Western Australian TV back in the 1970s - in the same form and with the same sounds. I always assumed we licensed (stole?) him from the BBC. I can confirm that he was definitely on HK TV from at least the 1990s (in 2D form) and is still on HK TV in 3D form today.  Stepho   talk  15:51, 12 December 2012 (UTC) reply
