I was told that during the Belgian Congo years, the Belgian flag was generally flown beside the Congo flag. If this is true, it's worth noting in the article. Dynzmoar ( talk) 17:40, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Someone should make an image of the Zaire president's flag, which is probably one of the stupidest flags which has ever existed (yellow silhouettes of a jet fighter, tank, and gunboat on a red field). There's an image at http://flagspot.net/flags/cd-zr.html , and a clearer depiction in Guide to the Flags of the World by Mauro Talocci, revised and updated by Whitney Smith ( ISBN 0-688-01141-1), p. 150.
