Who is the author of the Tricolor flag? Does it have any chance to become the Flag of Kosovo? msvj 11.6.2007
A tricolour flag of red, blue and yellow with a tick appears to be the campaign banner for the kosovo elections, the colours correspond to the 3 colours of the ballot papers for assembly, municipal and mayoral elections.
Hope this helps. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dn9ahx ( talk • contribs) 23:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
The article does not explain what the six stars represent. The article states that one of the three earlier designs had 5 stars to represent the different ethnic groups in Kosovo. The adopted flag has 6, do these also represent ethnic groups? And if so, which group is the 'new' sixth group? Grunners ( talk) 20:20, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
EuroNews of Al Jazeera News (i forget which) reported that the stars stand for the 6 ethnic groups that live in kosovo, no info about what those groups are - i will re-watch the channels to identify the correct source). Dn9ahx ( talk) 22:03, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
I have found a written reference for the stars Yahoo news Dn9ahx ( talk) 23:41, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
I've looked through the OSCE Mission in Kosovo documents, and they consistently mention these six groups, sometimes adding the Ashkali and/or the Egyptians (Balkans). I couldn't find a copy of their 2005 census, though.-- Pharos ( talk) 17:12, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
I deleted this statement (with "reference" of a sort) as I find it highly subjective and inflammatory: "However, many feel that the stars represent each territory that extremist Albanians desire to fashion into a "Greater Albania" [1]."
The article linked does not explain who it is that supposedly suspects this extreme nationalism in the flag. Also it says "some", while the statement above says "many", which is in itself a way to grossly overplay the un-verified statement in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.52.83.21 ( talk) 08:28, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

The colours are the same as the Flag of Bosnia, as mentioned in the intro - is there any reason why the government chose these colours? Do they hold any significance? Balkan Fever 09:02, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
It also resembles the flag of Democratic Republic of Congo used between 1997 and 2006, which was deep blue with six yellow stars down the hoist and a larger yellow star in the centre. Why is this important? It implies there's some sort of relationship, other than merely looking similar. Who cares? -- 12.119.210.194 ( talk) 17:57, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
The map on the current flag image seems too small. I made two new temporary suggestions which seem to be closer to the truth:

Please, who will make the necessary changes and switch back to the yellow version?-- Getoar ( talk) 13:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
any particular reason why the flag of the Kosovo Protection Corps is listed as an "alternative flag"? According to the article linked, the KPC is a "civilian emergency services". This doesn't make it sound as if the flag had any official status. Some source will have to be cited in any case. -- dab (𒁳) 17:24, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

A lot of flags flown by people seem to be more on the yellow side, like BiH and EU colours. Shouldn't this be mentioned to clear it up?- J.Logan` t: 15:34, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi-
I've looked over the changes you've made.
I think that's about it, really. Good work, but you need to check references more carefully to ensure that they support the statements you are making. Prince of Canada t | c 17:48, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
I'll be reviewing this article according to the GA Criteria. I'll be back with my initial readthrough, followed by a more in depth review. If you have any questions or suggestions during this process please let me know. -- Banime ( talk) 20:08, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
In my initial readthrough, I checked for the basic problems and quickfail criteria. The article contains reliable sources, the topic is not treated in an obviously non-neutral way, and there are no cleanup banners. I am a bit concerned with how recent it is, but it is not a "rapidly unfolding event without a definite endpoint" so I will continue the review. Also, I am worred that every project that it is a part of has rated it C-Class. Usually the articles can get to B-Class before being nominated, especially as I see this has been failed once before. However, I see no reason for a quick fail, and I will now go much more in depth in my review while keeping these concerns in mind. -- Banime ( talk) 17:33, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm back with my complete review. I will use the GA Criteria as a guideline for my review to help with making improvements and focusing on what needs fixing. I also made a few fixes myself, which you can see by checking the edit history.
Overall the article concerns me, mostly because of the reasons listed above. The introduction and expansion of the other sections should be a top priority, as well as finding out as much information as possible to expand this article. The article is definitely not bad, but I do not feel that it meets GA criteria, and frankly I'm slightly concerned that it won't ever (at least not for several years once the flag has enough history). I will put this article "on hold" for now, and if I see drastic improvement over a short time then I will reevaluate. Otherwise, I will be happy to work with the nominator to get this article ready for a third nomination after I fail it. Good work to everyone involved nonetheless! Thanks for the effort. -- Banime ( talk) 18:05, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
I've read through this article a final time and have come to a decision of passing the article to GA status based on the GA Criteria. The article has been vastly improved and all of my previous concerns have been met. The article also reads a lot better now and is very well sourced.
To continue improving this article for FA status be sure to check out GA vs FA criteria. Continue improving the prose of the article, as that is often very difficult and one of the main reasons FAs get failed. Keep up all the hard work that has been done so far on this article and I'm sure one day it can reach FA. For some tips and pointers on prose you can also check out User:Tony1/How_to_satisfy_Criterion_1a for example, or a number of other good guides on wikipedia.
Finally, I would like to congratulate all editors on this good article. I'd like to personally thank Zscout370 for his hard work in addressing all of my concerns. I'd also like to take the time to encourage all involved in this project to check and see if there are other GA nominations that you can review in order to help out. -- Banime ( talk) 17:32, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
What is the Petition of the 2016? Radu Gherasim ( talk) 22:19, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
This new article does not credibly show the importance of the Dardania flag to warrant a standalone article. The article's creator has repeatedly reverted my redirects to this page, so I think we should have a discussion about merging contents. That said, I don't think there is a lot to merge that hasn't already been said over here, except for dimensions and heraldry. De728631 ( talk) 20:38, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
