De Gaulle

Although the name is written Charles de Gaulle, if he is referred to by his last name alone the D is capitalized to indicate that this is a name. This rule holds in English also even though “de” is not an English word. This is true of all names that contain “de” and “von” btw, not just his. Elinruby ( talk) 02:43, 26 January 2022 (UTC) reply
