I was under the impression the correct name was Fatso the Big-Arsed Wombat, not 'fat-arsed.'
Please don't ruin an already bad piece by created Wikilinks for every word - this is ridiculous. If it re-appears in this form I will vfd it. The curate's egg 14:11, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
No pictures? How can you have a mascot article without a picture? 80.6.122.234 18:32, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
It's definitely 'fat-arsed', as vulgar/funny as that is! As for pics, that's a great idea, let's see what we can find, copyright stuff in mind. ( Westius 05:55, 22 February 2006 (UTC))
We need a picture of the Fatso sculpture outside the Olympic (Telstra) stadium! He is standing on top of a pole, along with all the poles inscribed with the volunteer's names, between the Novatel and the stadium. Someone can take a photo and release it under the GFDL. By the way, the original Fatso is now housed in a glass case in Kerry Stokes's North Sydney office [1]. Anyone reckon they can get a picture of that?! John Dalton 12:58, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Anyone know what happened to the second Fasto? Stokes bought one. Where is the other? John Dalton 06:17, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure the stamp Fatso appeared on was the Australia Post "Australian Gold Medalist" series with the Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay Swimming team, being held by Michael Klim, second person from the right. It was a 45 cent stamp, one of the ones that was produced within 24 hours of the event. Does anyone have a stamp to verify it? Could a scan be uploaded under fair use? I assessed the quality as "start" class because the article is not broken into clear sections and doesn't leave a reader with a really thorough understanding of Fatso. However, given the amount of information on Fatso available externally, I think the article does a good job and is well referenced. — midg3t 11:57, 15 March 2007 (UTC) |
