" The (exploding-bridgewire detonator at the left triggers a semi-spherical detonation wave through the low-speed outer explosive." Outer explosives should be high speed, according to my intuition. Otherwise the inner high speed explosive would make the explosion wavefront even more spherical, diluting the explosion force instead of concentrating it on the fissile core. The Optic lenses work in a similar manner, light propagates slower in the lens medium. If the lens is convex, instead of a spherical wavefront, a planar wavefront is formed. Since there are no references cited in the article, I'm changing this part. If you find any reference stating otherwise, please revert my change and cite your reference.-- C6H12O6 12:55, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Explosive lens is really just a shaped charge - maybe this needs the attention of an expert? Timpo ( talk) 09:01, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
