Eid is a commonly used Arabic word that simply means holiday. In the Arab world the term is used for birthday and holidays and is commonly not limited to Muslim holidays but also includes Christian holidays.
Furthermore the term is used in English to refer to some Arab Christian holidays. Wikileb123 ( talk) 22:40, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
Eid is just generic word for celebration. Samy23 22:05, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Yes I’ve updated the page to include that! Wikileb123 ( talk) 22:41, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
I've merged EID to this page, per Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Page naming conventions. I've also specified the direction (merge from/to) for Eid festival. See further discussion on this issue at Talk:Eid festival. Thanks. -- Quiddity 18:38, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
I’ve added a section for Arab Christians that also have eid and the some of the eids celebrated. Wikileb123 ( talk) 22:16, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
