Does anybody know how to skip go to the next line in an atricle, I can't get it right Oca 10:23, 31 Oct 2003 (UTC)
This is scrupulously edited, and plainly represents a lot of work. However, the overwhelming majority of the article is about what the character does within its fictional universe. (Exceptions at the very end are about how people can spend money on it.) Meanwhile, WIAGA says: The focus of the article should remain on discussing the subject as fiction within the context of "our" universe, not on establishing it as a "real" topic in a fictional universe.... To my mind, the focus is on the latter, and thus the article is not a good one according to WIAGA. -- Hoary 06:39, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
After following this article for a while, I think the editors have made a good effort toward comprehensiveness, and an 'out of universe' perspective, in-so-far as it is possible in an article of this type. Thus, it meets the qualifications for a Good Article. As with the other Pokemon-articles, continue to strive for relevance outside the world of Pokemon (not easy, I know, but it's still important), completeness, and a limited use of jargon and technical language.
Also, I'd like to ask that editors refrain from 'hammering' the GA nomination list by nominating the same article many times in a very short period, or from attempting to bypass the system by renominating articles without making changes in an attempt to get a 'lenient' reviewer. The technique is starting to attract some attention, and could damage the reputation of the Pokemon articles and project. Being satisfied with your work is more important than a category tag. Improve the articles for yourself, and recognition will come with time, there is no need to force it. The kana clearly read 'ivui' yet the name is romanized here (and at bulbapedia!!) as 'Eievui' which adds two extra kana that are not there. What's up with that? Is that its official romanized name as found on official art that uses romaji? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.73.48.43 ( talk) 01:53, 11 January 2007 (UTC).
That is definitely wrong indeed in any conventional romanization system. However, some say in Bulbapedia's discussion page that "eievui" is the official romanization used by Pokemon merchandise. However, I didn't find any up-to-date source about the matter. GolDDranks ( talk) 14:28, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

@ The1337gamer, I understand that this may be trivial or insignificant to some, but that sounds like a matter of perspective. I'm not outright disagreeing with you, but I wanted to hear the perspective of other people on this. Blender, a popular, open source 3D animation package is developing a new realistic rendering engine called EEVEE, named after this Pokémon creature. I added a mention of this, to a "In Popular Culture" section (with proper citation), which user The1337gamer deleted as trivial or irrelevant. I'm pretty unfamiliar with Pokémon... I have no desire to instigate a reversion war, but do you agree with his/her evaluation of this reference to Eevee as trivial/irrelevant? -- Linux_dr ( talk) 00:19, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

In the new Pokemon games (Let's go), Eevee is voiced by Aoi Yūki. Could this be mentioned within the article? 178.83.233.148 ( talk) 06:38, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

"Eevee is a rabbit-eared feline-like Pokémon" In what way are fennec foxes like cats or rabbits? Explain this to me because I'm quite certain that it was confirmed that Eevee is in fact canine, not lapine or feline.
"Eevee is a rabbit-eared feline-like Pokémon" is unsourced and unsubstantiated. Even in this talk page, there are disagreements over what animal Eevee is based on. Since Pokémon are their own creatures, and since (to my knowledge) Game Freak / The Pokémon Company / Ken Sugimori has not explicitly stated what animal Eevee is based on, it's a matter of opinion whether Eevee is based on a dog, fox, rabbit, cat, or combination thereof. Additionally, the page later reads, "According to the Pokémon video games, Eevee is a mammalian creature with brown fur", which is far more appropriate and nonspeculative. The "rabbit-eared" line should be removed to avoid confusion and to prevent bias, or should be sourced if a valid source is available. Avoyt ( talk) 03:40, 21 July 2020 (UTC) EDIT: Removed it myself. If it is to return, I believe it would need a source for sure. Avoyt ( talk) 04:28, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

So starting off, this is just a light pass to handle major observations. I have a few to bring up:
-The voice actors need to be mentioned in the article lead and body itself. The Aoi Yuki ref in particular has some additional information for her, that feels like it'd be good to have in the body.
-Eevee being a Normal-type is only mentioned in the infobox. Also I'm wondering if a better clarification of types, albeit briefly, may be good here as there's such a wide range being discussed.
-the stand alone third paragraph feels like it can be combined with the first, especially since the second paragraph mentions Eeveelutions and it helps the reader understand the nature of the term.
-There are several uncited paragraphs, while sometimes this is okay for the purposes of individual games, for characters where they appear in various media it can help with confirmation.
-Some of the gameplay commentary needs to be approached from an angle of the reader not understanding what they're looking at. Z-Moves, Gigantimax, Z-Crystal Eevium Z on their own isn't going to make a lot of sense. You don't have to go wild, but explain these like you're talking to someone that doesn't play these games.
-It feels like we can break this paragraph into two at Gita Jackson's statement, what do you think?
I'll do a deeper pass after, but wanted to focus on the bigger issues for now.-- Kung Fu Man ( talk) 17:10, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
