Ebenezer Blackadder and Mr. E. Blackadder
Is there any proof that Ebenezer Blackadder was the son of Mr E Blackadder of the third series or indeed the father of Captain Blackadder. I always assumed that he must be from a different line of Blackadders to the third Edmund.

There isnt any prooof, but he probably is.
I'm a but purist, and like to belive we follow one specific (THE specific, if you will) Blackadder line.
The Spirit of Christmas says he is going to show Ebenezer his ancestors, then shows him
Lord Blackadder and
Mr. E. Blackadder. So the butler is an ancestor of his, not merely an uncle or cousin.

Personally, I think that Ebenezer is the grandson of Mr. E. Blackadder instead of the son. Assuming that Ebenezer was born before E. Blackadder took the place of the Prince Regent, then surely Ebenezer would be a lot older than he actually looks by the Victorian age. It's my opinion that there is another Blackadder in the chain, but he hasn't been introduced yet.
