I'm going to try to make cleaning up these links my project for a short time; at least until the end of winter break. -- Ybbor T 03:04, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: page moved. The target page had extensive history but on inspection was not significant for copyleft purposes. The talk page which seems of continued interest is now at Talk:Eastern Standard Time/archive. Andrewa ( talk) 19:59, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Eastern Standard Time (disambiguation) → Eastern Standard Time – This page was originally at Eastern Standard Time until it was moved here after discussions at undisclosed locations. [1] The target was then changed to point to Eastern Time Zone. However, there are three different uses of Eastern Standard Time, the American zone that is most commonly referred to as "Eastern Time", the Australian zone that is most commonly referred to as " Eastern Standard Time" and a music album. For anyone looking for the Australian time zone or the album, there are no hatnotes at Eastern Time Zone to indicate where the respective pages are. Rather than add hatnotes to that article it seems far more logical to use Eastern Standard Time for its original purpose, as the disambiguation page, with a redirect from here. -- AussieLegend ( talk) 06:43, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Should we now try for Eastern Daylight Time to become a disambiguation between US Eastern Daylight Time and Australian Eastern Daylight Time? Mark Hurd ( talk) 05:52, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
I used to use "AEST" to refer to Eastern Standard Time in Australia, to disambiguate from Eastern Standard Time in North America, and I was regularly grumbled at by Australians, saying that it should be just "EST".
Using "AEST" for one but not "NAEST" or "USEST" for the other is failing to maintain a NPV. Martin Kealey ( talk) 11:14, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
