What album earned RIAA's first platinum rating? Trekphiler 17:28, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Aren't double albums certified twice as high as they have sold? For example, a double album that sells a million copies is certified 2x Platinum, not Platinum. So is Long Road Out of Eden certified 7x Platinum because it has sold about 3 and a half million copies (3.5 X 2 = 7). If so, then shouldn't we remove the note concerning its sales and certification? Sherlock32 ( talk) 23:54, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
In theory, today, double albums are only certified as 2 album sales only if total lenght is more than 100 minutes. But i think they have changed rules, in Wikipedia's album page says 90 minutes. The album was certified twice. [ [1]] -- Losigro ( talk) 07:56, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

"Their highest-selling studio album is 1976's Hotel California" "highest-selling album [...] "Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975)" now what? Their Greatest Hits is the top seller, I don't think Hotel California was..? an error? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.27.118.82 ( talk) 04:11, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
