QatarStud ( talk) 09:39, 26 April 2011 (UTC) Deleting the follwoing: "The past one and a half seasons, Derek Fisher considers himself the messiah of the franchise. The fact that he plays point guard is one of the biggest tragedies in professional sports. Fisher has set the record for alienating open team members and bouncing the ball off his foot. He's on track to shatter the record for failed opportunities to push the ball up the floor and pass to the open man. Due to him swaying in a diagonal fashion, he has earned the nickname "Sebastian", like the bug eyed crab in the disney cartoon."

Deleted the following: "Yet as Derek Fisher made these career defining shots, he acted as the supreme sportsman that he is. There was no need for fist pumps, pounding of the chest, or celebration in any way. He simply smiled as the 2008-2009 Laker team embraced him until he could no longer be seen. Fisher has always been the hero that has never been seen."
This might go well in a nice op-ed piece in the LA Times if the Lakers close out the Magic, or when Fisher retires. It has no place in an encyclopedia article. John ISEM ( talk) 20:55, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Many of the facts in this article don't have references or are complete fabrications. Under Achievements: "He is the only active player that has appeared in more than 30 NBA Finals games." Absolutely not true. Kobe Bryant anyone? Shaq? etc...

In the "Return to the Oklahoma City Thunder (2013–present)" section, the last paragraph mentions that Derek Fisher is called "The Franchise" by many players. This part should be removed.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Lafou ( talk • contribs) 13:47, 21 May 2014 (UTC)
