I think the MadmanBot picked up text I copied from the old mod article that had been copied to another site directly. I'll remove the tag for now, but if anyone can clarify why the article was flagged it would be a big help. Samwalton9 ( talk) 16:22, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Can we not use the image from the mod article? The logo can assumed to be the same as it's being used on the development blog and I was in the process of adding another fair use rationale for use in this article. Samwalton9 ( talk) 16:33, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Is this notable enough for inclusion in this article? It's obviously not based off the finished game. Pax East 2013 Awards. Samwalton9 ( talk) 22:29, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

This just got removed so I'm interested in hearing opinions on it. I originally added this to the lead as I realised a lot of sources refer to the game as "DayZ Standalone" with the assumedly deliberately capitalised 'Standalone'. Samwalton9 ( talk) 01:28, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Two interesting links describing some controversy with players being raped that I don't have time to write up http://nymag.com/thecut/2014/08/even-in-fantasy-women-cant-escape-rape.html http://www.vice.com/read/gta-v-rape-821 145.253.172.122 ( talk) 21:12, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
Since when is an early alpha considered a release? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.20.36.1 ( talk) 16:15, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
The paragraph regarding the potential release of Standalone on console in the "Development" section seems to be no longer needed as in the "Release" section a console release is confirmed. Thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Babbleingbrit ( talk • contribs) 14:43, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: No consensus. Though WP:THREEDABS was proposed as a solution, that shortcut doesn't lead to any convincing argument. What would probably be a better target for THREEDABS is Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Primary topic with two or more other topics. No problem if a new move proposal is made; this one just didn't get quite enough support. EdJohnston ( talk) 16:27, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
– Pageviews indicate that the clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC is the standalone game, not the mod. A disambiguation page is not necessary, per WP:TWODABS. ZXCVBNM ( TALK) 12:51, 23 February 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. BegbertBiggs ( talk) 12:58, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
As I was looking at this article I realize that it seems to leave out a lot about things that happened past 2018 including not even mentioning the games major Livonia Dlc. I plan to add sections talking about Livonia as well as go into detail on other things such as the controversy about the standalone release not including elements of the mod as well as other major topics such as the game gaining popularity due to streamers and youtubers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CharlesKinkade ( talk • contribs) 01:30, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
much of the article describes features that were only speculated on and never implemented and some that haven't been in the game for a while 100.0.15.132 ( talk) 03:06, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
I did some edits today to rework awkward sentences and redundant phrasing. However, the article still needs updates on current features. Too lazy right now to find/add sources. Much of the article is focused on tentative features circa 2014 and doesn't reflect the later state of the game. Dean Hall has left the project which ought to be reflected. I agree with another user's suggestion to include mention of the Livonia DLC. StormyMarmot ( talk) 05:51, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
