While the developers are all veterans of this game the influence of more mainstream games such as World of Warcraft is evident in the developer and community language across their boards. Discussing such concepts as a PvP-currency based reward system and using terms such as "DPS" it is questionable as to whether Darkness Falls or its successor will ever again see the light of day or if this will simply be a text-based and locally-run version of the larger games—with a pretty interface, of course.
