Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?
The
WikiProject U.S. Cities standards might help.
I realize that it was referenced everywhere as a "city" in the article but according to the US census bureau its a town. So I changed the remaining references. If anyone can find where the gov says its a city - I'll change em back -- ShakataGaNai 19:49, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
I am pretty sure the popuation figure is not right. I will check when I have more time. 216.90.172.158 19:41, 30 November 2006 (UTC) Josh
OH - I see. It was just missing a number. I fixed it. 41 thouand instead of 1 thousand.
On an unrelated note, The San Ramon Valley Times recently displayed a different figure for the median income per household at 180k per year. Clearly, the one listed here is incorrect.
In addition, Danville is the city with the most Ferraris per person in America. Worth posting? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.167.193.126 ( talk) 07:36, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Speaking of population, I reverted the figures back to the 2000 Census (official) until the 2008 figure is correctly cited. Also, the demographics data is only for 2000. Thanks. -- Moreau36 ( talk) 19:35, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
The article calls Diablo a "subdivision of Danville". Yet the Diablo article says that it's near Danville, not in it. Does anyone know whether Diablo is in Danville or just near it? - Walkiped ( T | C) 03:28, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Blackhawk and Diablo are not within the Town limits of Danville. Both are unincorporated communities that are classified by the government as census designated places (CDPs). The 94506 ZIP includes the eastern section of the Town of Danville as well as several unincorporated communities such as Blackhawk, Shadow Creek and Camino Tassajara.
ZIP code 94506 also includes several communities such as, Alamo Creek, that are within the Town of Danville's sphere of influence, which means the Town has some say in the zoning as the communities may be annexed in the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:648:8503:77A0:10F5:CDC4:D1B9:C420 ( talk) 06:51, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
Since Blackhawk, CA has its own article, I'm going to start pushing Blackhawk specific data over there and drop the duplicate information between the two articles. -- ShakataGaNai 23:25, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
This page is terrible. Why is there so much clutter in the intro? Who cares about the library. Danville could do so much better. Lecollye ( talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:17, 1 November 2010 (UTC).
Removed John Madden from list of notable residents, he's a Pleasantonian. Waterygrave ( talk) 06:25, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
In the History section, the author states, "Eventually, a bank, drug store, saloon, doctor's office and Chinese laundry joined the houses lining the street." I have never heard about the Chinese laundry before and would like to know the source of this information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.207.65.141 ( talk) 04:02, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
