"The Coyote Café in Santa Fe, New Mexico claims to be the birthplace of the "upscale" form of this cuisine." Trivial at best, blatant advertising at worst. Pygmypony ( talk) 22:53, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
I went ahead and added Fajitas to the list, as they originate in Texas, and Texas is part of the Southwestern United States. If anyone has some sort of objection to this, (as is often the case when new information is added to an article,) I'll be happy to discuss it with you. Pygmypony ( talk) 16:31, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I'll accept that east Texas is part of the South. The rest is Southwest. It's a big state, but not so big that any part of it is in the Midwest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.63.156.199 ( talk) 07:17, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

I am fixing it style-wise, but wow. BiliousBob ( talk) 13:19, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
It kind of surprises me that in the California section, only SM-style BBQ is mentioned. I'd have thought more southwestern cuisine would have originated from here. Carne fries, maybe? I need to look this up. I am a Golden Stater that likes Mexican and Southwestern, but has no clue what is authentic and what is Old El Paso-level. YellowAries2010 ( talk) 16:36, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
