I was a bit back and forth on the name change, but as it's no longer an official county, nor as large as it once was with Brantford separated, calling it 'Brant County' no longer seemed appropriate. Radagast 13:12, Oct 12, 2004 (UTC)
I think it needs to be made more clear that Brant is completely municipally seperate from (but statistically apart of) the City of Brantford. I mean, it's there in the opening if you read hard enough, but I think it needs to be made more clear, and perhaps a sentence like "the single-tier municipality is statistically apart of, but municipally seperate from, the City of Brantford." would probably sum it all up. -- Criticalthinker ( talk) 09:04, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
The link to Our Brant was removed by Versageek's bot. I understand now that I shouldn't add it myself, since I operate it. However, I do believe that it is appropriate for inclusion in this article because it is not a duplication of content from Wikipedia, and provides unique information about the County of Brant's history. I wanted to present it here to get opinions if someone else would like to include it.
Since I'm not completely familiar with policies here, I'm also wondering if this qualifies as a "non-controversial edit" under the recent changes to WP:CONFLICT. I am an archivist (and hence a subject professional), and Our Brant is part of my digital history/archives initiative here. Misty De Meo ( talk) 16:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
i SAY. tHE CENSUS STATS (ALTHOUGH PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED IN THE BEGINNING OF THE ARTICLE AS INCLUDING THE CITY OF bRANTFORD) ARE POTENTIALLY CONFUSING. i BELIEVE THIS AS THE POPULATION IS GIVEN AS THE REGION WITHOUT THE CITY INCLUDED (A SMALLER NUMBER) BUT THE DENSITY AND NUMBER OF DWELLINGS MUST BE INCLUSIVE OF THE CITY OF bRANTFORD AS THE NUMBERS DON'T FIT PROPERLY OTHERWISE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.155.25.14 ( talk) 14:06, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
