Well "Beefy" Hesketh would probably be right becasue he certainly knew his onions when it came to local geography. Good lad. Oakeshott 21:48, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
What is all this Flaming Moose business? Is it vandalism? I am going to revert it. AFCR 10:58, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
I have removed the following sentence from the second paragraph: "There has been some controversy surrounding this, and previous entries for Clitheroe, for instance, have noted that the growing Muslim community is "unfortunate" for the town.". First of all, referring to the opinion of a previous (single anonymous) editor of this article is nonsense. I don't live in Clitheroe, so I've no idea if there is any notable controversy or not. But if there is, the reason needs to be explained and references to reliable published sources are required. -- Dr Greg 12:05, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
The coordinates for the castle point at some where in Cheshire - this needs correcting. AFCR ( talk) 10:15, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
The unemployment rate claim has no citation. I have found this article which puts it at 'less than two %', but I can't find anything more specific. The article: http://legacy.thisislancashire.co.uk/lancashire/clitheroe/info/guide.html Izax143 ( talk) 11:22, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
According to FreeBMD, 'The district Clitheroe spans the boundaries of the counties of Lancashire and West Riding of Yorkshire'. If this is correct, as Clitheroe never appears to have been in Yorkshire, it may be worth noting that it was possible to be born in Yorkshire, but to have had the birth registered Lancashire. I don't know enough about the topic to have an opinion, but I do have an opinion on edit warring: Don't or you risk getting blocked. Hammer it out, if someone is behaving badly or trolling, take it to WP:ANI, but we don't want to see WP:3RR broken. WP:BRD is a good guide. Dennis Brown | 2¢ | WER 22:29, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

I updated the info about some of the local shops and it's been marked as "citation needed". I am not sure how to cite references for this, or what references would be suitable. There are several business directory pages that show what businesses are located in the town, or of course the individual websites of the companies in question - but I'm concerned citing the individual websites would be seen as spam! Could anybody give me an idea? I'm new to editing wikipedia as you can probably tell, and would like to make sure I do this right. Thanks in advance for your help! 81.157.128.32 ( talk) 12:56, 12 March 2019 (UTC)
