Is it really necessary to include his non-relation to Trevor Gillies? As someone sarcastically noted recently, he's not related to a large number of people named Gillies, and hockey or playing for the Islanders notwithstanding, I really don't see this as necessary. We wouldn't clutter articles about any number of players named Smith for example with such notes. I further don't see "Gillies" as being an unusual enough name to warrant this either. If there's a compelling argument to be made that shows a history of people making an erroneous connection between the two players, then maybe. Opinions?
