Suggest this article get renamed to Cif (brand), because most people are looking for something else besides this article. Cif should redirect to disambiguity page. I also doubt this article meets wikipedia notability, wp:notability, guidelines and perhaps should be deleted. Daniel.Cardenas 19:50, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree, CIF should go to a disambiguation page, not to some brand. I assume this was changed by an overzealous manager at the company. -EJE, June 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.201.35.47 ( talk) 15:18, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I removed the following statement (Wiki mark-up: "particularly as 'Cif', spelt 'syph' (but identically pronounced), is slang for syphilis"), which was offered as reason for resistance to calling this product 'Cif' in the UK. 'Syph' may have been common slang in the past, but I don't think it is current. If I'm wrong, and a source can be added, feel free to add-back. -- Oldak Quill 17:47, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
