This article is terrible! Wuorinen is one of our most important composers and deserves much better. I'll add whatever I can, but please help!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfcm ( talk • contribs) 23:06, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Adding to the above theme, this article is lifted word-for-word from the composer's website, which is copyrighted material... this really shouldn't have been put here at all. Blmichel ( talk) 15:47, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
The list of Works is a good six feet long. Recommend moving it to a separate article. Softlavender ( talk) 07:21, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
UPDATE: Done. Softlavender ( talk) 21:50, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Concerning this sentence in the opening paragraph: "An indication of Wuorinen's historical importance can be seen in the fact that in 1975 Igor Stravinsky's widow gave Wuorinen the composer's last sketches for use in A Reliquary for Igor Stravinsky."
Really? This indicates his "historical importance"? Suppose Stravinsky gave a godson or friend of a family some sketch or collection...would that prove this person's "historical importance"? And just what is "historical importance" anyway? How is it measured?
On another note, the picture caption "Charles Wuorinen at desk" is awkward and needs to be reworded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sparky1895 ( talk • contribs) 16:49, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
This article is in Category:LGBT composers. I've searched high and low and only come up with one possible reference for Wuorinen being gay : [1] Can anyone find a better source? -- SatyrTN ( talk / contribs) 19:23, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
