Dear Lord. All the wikilinks in this article made my head spin. Each occurence of a first name does not need to be (and in fact, should not be) linked. I've added the {{ cleanup}} tag since I don't have time to take care of it myself at the moment. -- Darkwind ( talk) 10:53, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
I've begun a discussion regarding the atrocious state of character articles within the Emmerdale universe. These articles stand to be deleted unless corrective action is taken. Please join the conversation at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Emmerdale#Serious problems across the board; let's start with character articles. Thank you, -- Hammersoft ( talk) 16:00, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
I noticed the article was moved today without any hint of a discussion, so I thought I'd start one. As far as I'm aware the character's WP:COMMONNAME is Tate. She's only been married to Nikhil for a few months and most of her major storylines have occurred while she was called Tate. I decided to break out the hits box anyway:

It seems that this article has undergone a few page moves recently, so I'm opening this discussion to help stabilise the article. I believe Tate is still Charity's WP:COMMONNAME, as she has only been married to Declan for around five months. I think the article should be kept as Charity Tate, but I'll bring out the hits box again. - JuneGloom Talk 19:53, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

I noticed an earlier discussion regarding her surname and the page being moved etc. Would it be worth looking at this again as this was several years ago and Charity Dingle seems to be the most commonly used name in various media. CallyMc ( talk) 17:07, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
