Are you sure the style of the Palace is Rococo? IMHO, it is to boxy to be named as such. Rococo architecture avoids the right angles but in the Catherince palace there is almost now ovals only the right angles. In my time they taught that the only Rococo palace in SPb area is the Oranienbaum palace. abakharev 09:26, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Wmy should Catherine Palace be merged? Doesn't that mean we just merge the Alexander Palace too? Or merge the Kremlin with Moscow? Or the Brooklyn Bridge with New York? Shouldn't we have seperate articles for seperate things especially when the articles being merged are already pretty long and complete. 24.247.126.44 12:43, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
"In 1743, Empress Anna commissioned Mikhail Zemtsov and Andrei Kvasov to expand the Catherine Palace" .
This can't be true, as Empress Anna died in 1740. InArm 19:03, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
