I believe this absolutely belongs here (and on the articles for the other 15 municipalities). I would appreciate an explanation for why it keeps getting removed. – Nelson Ricardo ( talk) 23:33, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
I do not believe that it is necessary to mention the Oeste region in the lead. It is coterminous with the intermunicipal community also called Oeste, but the region is merely a statistical subdivision mandated by the EU, while the intermunicipal community is used for actual governance. I do not understand why Estremadura province is mentioned, but not Leiria district, as provinces were eliminated decades ago, but districts, although being eliminated for governance purposes still serve as a geographical references . Frankly, I don't think either is needed in the lead; having the info in the infobox and Geography section suffices, I believe. — Nelson Ricardo ( talk) 21:05, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
