I've kept the jacket for those wondering. I still wear it occasionally, but it's mostly used for developing an automated firing system. I'll put more squibs on it and do a demo video ;)
I also want to put up a figure of squibs with exploding down feathers instead of fake blood to simulate a gunshot wound on a down jacket. Will do so when I have time. Stay tuned.

Hey! Yes and no, it's not my main job per se. I was thinking of doing some Youtube videos to go more in depth, and maybe a few tutorial/consulting type pages. I really want to spend some more time on it but I'm quite busy. What do you like to know more about? It seems like I didn't explain it that well in the article ;)

I would love to see some sort of documentation or tutorial on how this effect can be accomplished! It would be very useful for independent filmmakers and wannabe ones like me. 😂 Since Wikipedia is not suitable for tutorials, you could write it on the sister website Wikibooks, which has plenty of tutorials!

ah interesting, i was thinking of setting up a wordpress website for this. i could look into wikibooks, i've never thought of it, thanks! i think the main thing needing emphasis is safety. another thing i find many people overlook is how the whole aesthetics and preparation work with the clothing. been meaning to do this for the last year or two now, when i started with this article.
