As a Spanish doctor, I disagree with the fact that buformin is still used in my country. As a matter of fact, the Spanish Agency for Drugs and Health Products ( http://www.aemps.es) does not give permission for its sale in my country. The only biguanide currently approved is metformin. - You're right. My copy of Martindale: The complete drug reference lists it as withdrawn in Romania, and available only in Hungary. Fvasconcellos ( t· c) 11:38, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Buformin as timed release Silubin Retard sold by Zentiva SA, formerly SICOMED SA BUCURESTI is still available in Romania. Schmausschmaus ( talk) 10:54, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
