RfC about the 3 separate regional articles

I know these are not highly trafficked articles, but we have this article, Niagara Frontier, and Buffalo Niagara Region all representing (practically) the same thing. Western New York is a separate topic, as it is separated from Upstate New York, but why does the Buffalo metro (because this is the focus city) need 3 separate articles to articulate its locale? Having lived here for 20 years and as a general editor, I can say that Western New York is a geographical article, as is Southern Tier, while the other two are political oriented. I agree - Niagara Frontier and Buffalo Niagara Region appear to overlap, but don't seem to have quite the same boundaries. PK T(alk) 13:45, 9 March 2017 (UTC) reply
