Bud the Spud (song) by Stompin' Tom Connors is much better known and should be the landing spot for anybody just typing in Bud the Spud. -- Whpq ( talk) 15:41, 28 August 2009 (UTC) reply

Inaccurate

The song isn't about a trucker, per se, as much as a famous food wagon in Halifax, Nova Scotia who sold fries in front of the main branch library on Spring Garden Road. The eponymous owner/operator of the truck would regularly get potatoes directly from PEI, itself famous for the quality of its potatoes. -- 65.110.216.84 ( talk) 19:14, 18 June 2017 (UTC) reply

Absolute nonsense. The song predates the chip truck by years. --= Whpq ( talk) 20:37, 18 June 2017 (UTC) reply
