Please delete the following partial sentence:
"and Celtics coach Doc Rivers issued coach's decisions not to let Scalabrine play in three games, including in Game 5 of the 2008 NBA Finals."
It is inaccurate. Doc Rivers did not 'issue' coaches decisions not to 'let' Scalabrine play. He merely did not play him in the three games that he was in uniform, thus officially recording "DNP-CD" (did not play - coaches decision) because there was no reason why he did not play other than that the coach did not put him into the game.
The first half of the sentence, which states that "Averaging 1.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in the regular season, he never played any time during the 2008 NBA Playoffs," is sufficient to capture relevant objective information. If more is wanted, it could be altered to state:
"as Celtics coash Doc Rivers opted not to play Scalabrine in the three games in which he was in uniform, including in Game 5 of the 2008 NBA Finals."
This is also more consistent with the provided source, which merely notes the fact he did not play in the playoffs and recorded three DNP-CD's.
Scal's got a pretty well-known reputation as a fan-favorite among the Bulls faithful and I think it's notable enough ( ESPN) that it deserves some mention in the article. I'm just not sure how to write it. Anyone have any ideas? -- Kevin W./ Talk• CFB uniforms/ Talk 22:34, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Please alter the first line to read: Brian David "White/Mamba" Scalabrine (born March 18, 1978)
It is his ESPN recognized and fan-preferred epithet. Here is a link to an article to provide a relevant source- http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bulls/post/_/id/6750/white-mamba-fan-fave-on-off-the-court

This line seems overly opinionated and not backed up by any referenced source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frozenmustard ( talk • contribs) 04:36, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

I'm not even sure why there was a listing of retired jersey numbers for Brian anyway, since it's rather simple to verify. The only explanation I can think of besides vandalism is that the editor was genuinely confused by the layout of Brian's page on the Basketball-Reference website, and thought the depiction of his uniform numbers meant they were retired by those teams. If that is the case, I feel the need to point out that this is just B-R's way of showing the player's numbers throughout their career, and this style is used for every player's page, active or retired. When reading this article I felt that it needs more, just in certain sections. A lot of these sections address the main ideas of what need to be stated but it feels like they need more. I find myself asking why or how a lot because I feel like their should be more detail. Like in the case of the Italy section, how did he do there, what were his stats, who were his teammates, was he part of a dynamic duo etc. -Nyan Preder — Preceding unsigned comment added by Itsnotme92 ( talk • contribs) 05:23, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
