History of monetary systems per
WP:PRECISE. The article is almost exclusively historical (as evidenced by the "History of..." section titles). But not all the history is international. It might be better to merge it with (the surprisingly short)
Monetary system.

Striking my !vote. The more I think about this, the more this seems to belong in
Monetary system and there is some overlap with the history of commodity money etc (some of which predates the notion of the
nation-state hence "international" being inappropriate). But, it looks to me like
Monetary system is deliberately short with call-outs to other articles, so merging a "History" section may make it too top-heavy.
