Since
Claret is just a British name for
Bordeaux Wine, it ought to redirect to this page. At present, someone searching for 'Claret' would be led to think that we only have very sparse information on that topic. The information on the Claret page should be added here, or to
history of Bordeaux wine as appropriate.

The section on viticulture and winemaking is currently disproportionately long, and I suggest that it contains much more detailed information on these topics than the casual reader will typically want. Therefore I propose that it be splintered into its own article and replaced with a summary.

The bulk of the text is over a decade old, and the urls are being replaced en masse with links to the Web Archive. If anybody has the knowledge and inclination to re-write the entire page, I'm sure it would be welcomed. — Preceding
