I was at BlizzCon, and I'd like to contribute to the article, what do you think would be the best things to include? McKay 19:12, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
I've changed a phrase that seemed an advertising to "Other activities to be announced at http://www.blizzcon.com"
Was there a BlizzCon in 2006? - 216.217.52.46 18:33, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Now that BlizzCon 2007 has been announced, the introductory paragraph should to be changed to refer to BlizzCon as an ongoing series of events in the present, not a single event in the past, as it seems likely at this point that Blizzard will continue to have BlizzCons in the future (although there is no certainty of this). If you disagree with the possibility of future BlizzCons beyond 2007, the introduction should at least refer to BlizzCon as an upcoming event in 2007 with a single occurrence in the past. Rmaus 15:30, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Bear in mind that BlizzCon was something that Blizzard employees had stated during the BlizzCon '05, that they would like to make it an annual event. They didn't get it in '06, but we'll see if they can get it in '08. 66.93.144.171 14:44, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
If someone gonna attend, u can take some photos if ud like, if its allowed, would be nice /fred
All references to the WWI's appears to have been deleted from this page, blizzard page and its previous own page. Propose article retitled Blizzard conventions and WWI information is included as well. 83.104.138.141 ( talk) 14:27, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
This section does not provide a neutral point of view ("fans were left shocked by a haunting 'sold out' message"), and includes many weasel words ("Many wondered if it were possible... others considered it to be...", "numerous fans were left frustrated and disappointed", etc). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.74.38.59 ( talk) 17:38, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Could someone do some, and post them here? rootology ( C)( T) 14:27, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
The text in this article quote "Blizzard will most likely be announcing the next WoW expansion during Blizzcon 2009.", is a rumor and I have removed it. There has been no official announcement if Blizzard would be announcing a new expansion, who knows, it may be a new game. Anyway, to meet with Wikipedia standards, we should try to eliminate as many rumors as possible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Darkquest21 ( talk • contribs) 09:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
I'd like to add that the Diablo 3 beta key for 2010 is most likely another rumor and should be removed. 68.3.158.98 ( talk) 06:53, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Contrary to another anonymous editor's assertion, they did not distribute game keys, beta or otherwise, in 2009. It's possible a small number of such keys were distributed as contest prizes or something, but that was not the case generally. For completeness, could include "and for 2013 the price remained at $175." SquashEngineer ( talk) 17:40, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
The table could be modified to show # of attendees as "Approx." SquashEngineer ( talk) 17:40, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
Danicela : When I created this table in 2008, I made columns 'Game announcement', 'Beta key', 'Playable games', all these disappeared and were replaced by ... 3 columns of prices ? Seriously ? See the untouched French version I created in the same time : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlizzCon it's much more valuable than what become the English one.. —Preceding undated comment added 12:08, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
Danicela : Why it was non-encyclopedic? —Preceding undated comment added 19:51, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
The second sentence reads " It was held over N tickets were sold on April 20 and 23 using the ticketing service Universe." This cannot be intended, isn't it? 134.93.149.71 ( talk) 10:25, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Last week, Blizzard announced that they would sell another batch of tickets. The Q&A states their reason:
"Q: Why are more tickets on sale? A: Until recently, we weren’t sure if the new hall at the Anaheim Convention Center would be ready in time for BlizzCon. Once we confirmed it would be, we worked quickly to determine how we’d use the space and how many more people we could accommodate while preserving the awesomeness of the BlizzCon experience."
I'd assume this would be big enough for an edit, but obviously not big enough to be considered a "major edit". Adam tighe ( talk) 16:11, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
