The last paragraph concerns one specific speech Mr. Höcke delivered in January 2017, so the title is misleading. It should be 'January 2017 Dresden speech' or, at most, 'Allegations of anti-Semitism in January 2017'. It is also notable that only German references are included. The translations offered appear to be original with this article and, to put it mildly, idiosyncratic. In particular, he did not say that 'Germans "need to make a 180 degree turn on what [they] remember" from World War II.' because 'erinnerungspolitische Wende um 180 Grad' (which is what he did say) means nothing of this kind.
Hi, I don't want to create an account, but for those of you have and would like to improve the article:
"Bernd" as satire: The TV channel KIKA is situated in Thuringia and "stars" a puppet Bernd which is a depressive, fatalist bread. Bread as a non-living being has no brain and threfore no intelligence.
I am a B2 level fluent German speaker and I do agree on the following sentence ...
“erinnerungspolitische” is a German monster word and means “political remembrance”, Wende is a turn and the rest is clear. I find the translation OK. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucien64 ( talk • contribs) 21:11, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
"The Wing" (Der Fluegel) faction within the AfD has been disbanded (at least officially), and the co-leader of der Fluegel, Andreas Kalbitz, has been removed from the party. The introduction to this article should be corrected in light of those facts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:C2:B00:2500:A1F1:D792:91A7:DB5E ( talk) 17:49, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
For those unaware, in germany there is a running gag wherein Björn Höcke is referred to as Bernd Höcke. This all started when some internal magazine referred to him as Bernd by mistake, and has since spiralled out of control, because a satire show started calling him Bernd Höcke without exception. 5 years later, and even people within the party have started referring to him as Bernd. There even was a time when an official government document referred to him as Bernd. I think that should be part of the article. Id add it, along the rest of the german article, but its locked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.128.221.97 ( talk) 22:19, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
In the current revision of the article, it states as proof of Höcke's ties to such groups is that he desires an abolition of sections 86 & 130 of the German Criminal Code. This appears disingenuous. While it is true that political parties such as the NPD do in fact call for the abolition of such laws, it is also argued by many libertarian-minded groups and people that such laws are either too overbearing, or should be abolished outright as well. -- 2601:8C:417E:26A0:2DB8:3A11:7D57:FA70 ( talk) 16:37, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
Sure he may an aggressive racist, but has he expressed a desire to establish an Authoritarian state or attacked any liberal democratic policy or ideal, really? StrongALPHA ( talk) 11:45, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
