Hi George.
This indicates that he died in 1952. Unfortunately it does not give an exact date and may not be considered reliable, never the less I've included the date of death in the article in the interests of completeness. Perhaps something more reliable might be found to confirm this. —

In the meantime, I've completed the assessment checklist. I believe that it's not quite a B class article, unfortunately. I think, it needs a bit more on his Second World War career and a sentence or two on what he did after that, up to the time he died. —
