I imagine that the valid reason was to comply with the Manual of Style. I'm not actually sure how you request a page move, i only know how to just move one.

Thats what I thought as well. Thats why I brought it up, as I agreed with the idea. But the problem with
requesting a move is that they don't always get completed. It doesn't see the same attention as page protection.
