One had to be a Citizen of the UK and Colonies - rather than a British subject - to acquire Barbados citizenship. Article amended and link to Barbados constitution added.

This section which was copied from the article is about rights of citizenship, not acquiring nationality. Perhaps an article on citizenship should be written to discuss rights and obligations of citizens of Barbados. SusunW ( talk) 22:17, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Barbadians enjoy certain privileges as citizens of a member state of the Caribbean Community ( CARICOM). As with many of the other countries of CARICOM, the Barbadian passport bears the emblem of CARICOM."
