1999 - Eric Lobbecke - Cyclops - Government's One-eyed Nemesis
Have changed
Bob Brown back to
Brian Harradine. The Museum of the Riverina's page at the Wagga Wagga Council site
[1] calls the subject Bob Brown, but it's a clear mistake - compare the portrait
[2] with photos of Brown
[3] and Harradine
[4]. (Not to mention that in 1999, Harradine was the Government's one-eyed nemesis - the intransigent conservative used his balance of power in the Senate to devastating effect and brief celebrity.) I'm still trying to locate an authoritative written source naming Harradine as the subject of Lobbecke's painting. The list as it was first entered (containing Harradine) was "supplied to
me by Peter Batey", according to (hist), which is not much help.
Discussion on the edit and/or help with a source (online or not) is invited.
