Is there any information on how the current arrangements of pedals came to be? Old cars like the Model T had rather different pedals. What was involved in getting different manufacturers to standardise on the pedals to such a degree that we now take the modern operation for granted? CodeCat ( talk) 14:34, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
