  • @ Dunutubble: Article is long enough and generally well-referenced. Could use some scholarly sources if there are any, but it's fine for now. No copyvio detected, and as this is only the user's 2nd DYK no QPQ is needed. However, an issue with the first hook: the Fox News source says that only former Nazis were made to exhume the bodies, while the local population was made to watch the reburial? ALT1 is less interesting than the original hook, but that one is good to go. Juxlos ( talk) 12:46, 29 October 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Juxlos, I noticed that the "Did you know" page is missing this article's entry. Is it possible that you made it disappear by default when you strikethroughed the original hook you accidentally removed this from that section on the DYK page? Dunutubble ( talk) 17:55, 30 October 2021 (UTC) reply

ALT2 to T:DYK/P2

Assessment

Reassessed as start class following automatic assessment by MilHist bot. This could do with some expansion of details, including background of those murdered. The lead says some were POWs but this is not explicitly stated in the body of the article. Also, suggest reasoning as to what prompted the excavation.
