On the edition of The Sex Education Show that was first shown on 30 September 2008, she stated that she is 37 3/4. That means she could have been born in late 1970 or early 1971. Years ago, I heard that she is from Manchester. Was she born there? Werdnawerdna ( talk) 19:37, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
The statement that she was born in Wellington is not verifiably accurate. The cited source itself indicates nothing more than Wellington Shropshire being the location of the registry office at which her birth was registered. At the time of her birth registration, the area covered by Wellington registry office included more than 30 other civil parishes in Shropshire, Any one of those locations might have been the location of her actual birthplace.
Without sight of her birth certificate, the most accurate statement is that she was born in Shropshire and her birth was registered in Wellington. I've edited the article accordingly.
On the subject of her date of birth, I understand the various calculations that have been used, but to say "27 September 1970 is closer to the truth than ... 7 April 1971" is not sufficiently accurate to represent it as her actual birth date. The most accurate interpretation of her birth registration during the 3rd quarter of 1970 is that she was born before 1st October 1970 and probably on or after 1st July 1970.
Although there are many other web sites that state her date of birth being 27 September 1970, it is most likely that they used the information recorded in this article. Without any more investigation, however, I can't say that it was not her birthday so I will leave it as it is with this as a record of doubt. 2600:1700:EA01:1090:1819:46A9:EEC5:F726 ( talk) 17:42, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Regarding her birthplace, I have just today heard her being interviewed on BBC Radio Shropshire by presenter Ryan Kennedy (not to be confused with the Canadian actor of that name). He told Anna about her being allegedly born in Wellington, describing her as 'the most-searched-for person from Wellington' on Wikipedia, although she replied she was born in Shifnal which is within Shropshire but to the east of Wellington outside the bulk of the Telford conurbation. Obviously, this needs a search for a published source that backs up her answer. I agree with the comment above about Wellington being the birth registration district; the registration district of Atcham (today a small village) used to include Shrewsbury the county town's parishes into the early 20th century, so birth certificate indexes would be headed Atcham. Why does the infobox only show Anna Richardson (presenter)? - the rest of the information shown on the edit page is missing. Why is that? Does anyone know how to fix things, so that the information which should be displayed on the main page is visible there? Werdnawerdna ( talk) 19:42, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Surely the following needs a citation: 'Despite stellar critical acclaim, multiple students filed law suits against Ms Richardson claiming she "took liberty with her (sic) postion" whilst interviewing students in Marlow. The Sex Education Show returned in March 2009 as The Sex Education Show vs. Pornography.'
Perhaps someone more familiar with wikipedia could either remove it or give one? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.242.96 ( talk) 22:08, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
There is more to her education than the girls' boarding school. In the interview with the Birmingham Mail that is one of the linked citations she says she passed from the school at 16 to a sixth-form college in Stoke on Trent then onto university and in the interview with the Daily Record also linked, Anna mentions being 'at university' when, aged 20, she had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. Do any published sources indicate where the college and university were? It may be that she has withheld their identity from public consumption but some universities at least surely have published registers of alumni (her uni period would be late 1980s-early 90s).
