A lot of poorly substantiated statements. It is not Ammian, for example, who says anything about the name of Amol, but rather a conjecture by a modern scholar: who is correctly identified in the article Amardi. In footnote 7 a website of "Amol Government" is linked to, which seems to be quite belly-up. Bill ( talk) 16:54, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
What does this mean: 'The Alawites ruled the city until Ziyarid and Buyid, who were the handmaidens of the Shiites'. 'Handmaidens' doesn't sound very neutral. Also, the Ziyarids were enemies of the Buyids. So how is this to be formulated clearly and neutrally? Glatisant ( talk) 13:25, 4 July 2020 (UTC)

I have cut down this article per Wikipedia:Copyright violations because a major contributor ( User:پارسا آملی and sockpuppets) have a history of repeated copyright infringement. The content should not be restored unless it can be verified that it is not a copyvio. While pursuing the page history, I noticed that some of the content removed predated User:پارسا آملی. Regardless, it should not be restored because Wikipedia is not a travel guide.
Some of the pictures were uploaded by said sockpuppets and are also likely copyvios. MER-C 13:07, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

Please note that this article recently recieved major contribution by User:Amardha. Most of the contributions were added in this diff. The editor is believed to be a sockpuppet of User:پارسا آملی. (See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/پارسا آملی.)
The sockmaster has a known history of adding copyvio and false content in relation to Amol. (Besides the sockmaster's history on English Wikipedia - including the contributions of their other socks, see Mehran's comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tower Tomb Sayyed Se Ton about the editors actions at the Persian Wikipedia.)
Also, as per WP:Copyright violations: "If contributors have been shown to have a history of extensive copyright violation, it may be assumed without further evidence that all of their major contributions are copyright violations, and they may be removed indiscriminately.".
Normally, I would just undo this editor's edits. But due to subsequent editing, it can only be undone manually, which I simply do not have the time for today. If someone is willing to remove the editor's contributions, that would be great. Thanks. Singularity42 ( talk) 15:34, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 4 external links on

my edit. If necessary, add {{
